Donald completed BA (Hons) Fine and Applied Art at the University of Ulster in 2010, graduating with First Class Honours. Donald's work focuses on history and memory, blending fact and fiction to create alternative narratives through painting, drawing and installation. The work is multi-disciplinary, encompassing painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture. The work subverts traditional narratives and historical models in order to create alternative histories, blending fact and fiction and the personal with the political.
